www.fsf.org.uk/news/safestanding.phpIf you haven't already, please sign the Football Supporters Federation safe standing petition and show your support for Standing! The Football Supporters’ Federation (FSF) believes that football supporters should have the choice to watch football from a safe standing area, if they so wish, at matches in England and Wales.
The FSF is the national supporters’ organisation for all football fans and represents more than 180,000 individual fans and affiliate members, such as supporters' clubs, throughout England and Wales. Once closed this petition will be handed to the relevant government and football authorities.

I agree with Safe Standing terraces. All seater stadiums have ruined football atmosphere. As I am a Chester FC supporter, our stadium (Deva/Exacta stadium) has 4 stands. 3 seating, and the famous standing Harry McNally Terrace! In my opinion, Chester FC fans are privaliged to have such a terrace!

Is it true you actually have higher attendances than you ever did before you went bust? Just shows the progress your making and I'd love to get you in the Cup one day and take a closer look at your ground

Safe standing looks shit, better to go back to the old style terracing with limited capacity but neither will happen.

Already signed it a while back, sadly it will achieve nothing. Agree about open terraces being better, but one step at a time! This health and safety obsessed nation isn't going to let go without a struggle.

This health and safety obsessed nation isn't going to let go without a struggle. I've stood on a packed terrace and I'm perfectly fine. It's daft to suggest otherwise, poor organsing kills, not terracing.

Doesn't it piss you off how the Government won't listen to any of this most likely?

Lib Dems before the election actually supported the idea of bringing back safe standing, but anything the Lib Dems "support" can not be taken seriously.

Indeed. Take the posters on that Walsall forum, most didn't have a clue what safe standing was and they thought it'd be like the olden days with horribly packed terraces and very few crush barriers... Showed them that classic picture and they all said it could work, in fact it's safe than seating as you say.

The Gallery is great, never knew they took this example of SS to Molineux.
